 Victoria, British Columbia

Only 18 miles across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Port Angeles, there is a decidedly British feeling ever present in this charming city to the north. While you’re there, explore the beauty of the world famous Butchart Gardens or stroll around the picturesque Inner Harbor.  Spend your afternoon touring on a double-decker bus and sipping tea at the majestic Empress Hotel. For the more adventurous, hop aboard a wave skimmer and go whale watching. The world famous Royal British Columbia Museum showcases the human and natural history of British Columbia, and features periodic exhibitions of international renown.

Tips for Ferry Travel:

  • Avoid the summer weekend/holiday rush. Arrive at the terminal at least one hour before scheduled sailing time.
  • For ferry travel between Canada and the U.S., make sure that you have appropriate identification.
  • Whenever possible, use local transportation and leave your car behind; foot passengers and cyclists don't have to wait for the next ferry!
  • Bring a jacket. Outside decks offer a refreshing ride, but they can get breezy.
  • Eat on board. Enjoy specialty beverages, light meals and snacks in the ferry cafe, or bring your own picnic.
  • Pets are allowed  in the main cabin and on the solarium deck.
